George Dikaios

George Dikaios is a PhD candidate at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. His doctoral research focuses on the European Union's relations with other international organizations through the lenses of the European foreign policy and by using the example of climate diplomacy. The provisional title of his thesis is Normative (without) Power: Internal and External EU Climate Diplomacy towards the IMO and the ICAO. His research is part of the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy and it received a scholarship by the Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF).

Since 2019, he is a Research Fellow at the Institute of European Integration and Policy (IEIP), where he participates in research programs. Prior to that and since 2015, he was a Junior Research Fellow at the IEIP. At the same time, he is an external associate of the Research Unit for International and European Politics (Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean) and has also worked in the private sector.
